Tsatsiki (Greek cucumber and yoghurt sauce)




The tsatsiki is a typical Greek recipe that can be a cream or a sauce, but also can be a drink simply disolving in water. The latter option is more common in Turkey where tsatsiki word becomes "çaçik" (say shashik) The tsatsiki either like cream or sauce is very suitable for seasoning salads but also can grease a toast, support a course of meat...



INGREDIENTS:
3-4 yoghurt type "Greek"
1 cucumber
Half clove garlic
Salt
Olive oil

Peel the cucumber and cut into very fine strips. Take a bowl and pour in the yogurt blended with a tablespoon of olive oil, a teaspoon of salt and medium clove garlic crushed. We must vigorously whisking by hand until get a compact exempt of water as much as possible. It is desirable to make the mixture stand at least one hour in the refrigerator before consume, but is not essential.
