Honey and lemon chicken

 

A pleasantly surprising sweet and sour recipe that you're sure to love. Additionally, it's easy to make and quite economical. If you're thinking of preparing a hassle-free meal for this Christmas, honey and lemon chicken is a good choice if you want to try a new oriental flavor using common ingredients.

INGREDIENTS (Serves 4):

• A whole chicken cut into 8 pieces, or use wings, or even drumsticks. Whatever enough to get portions of approximately 150 grams (5 or 6 oz) of meat per person.

• 1 lemon
• 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
• 2 teaspoons of soy sauce
• 3/4 cup of honey (150 ml)
• Salt
• Pepper

This recipe requires marinating the meat with the honey and lemon sauce for at least four hours.

First, prepare the sauce by mixing the lemon juice, grated lemon peel, cinnamon, soy sauce, and honey. Brush the chicken pieces with this mixture, seasoned with salt and pepper. Let it marinate.

After the marinating time, place the chicken pieces in a preheated oven at 190 degrees Celsius (375 degrees Fahrenheit) and bake for about 45 minutes, turning them occasionally. And that's all !

It is usually served with vegetables and sprinkled with chopped parsley, although this is optional.
